Mr. Arif Alauddin Joined AEDB as Chief Executive in June 2008.

He holds an Engineering degree (Mechanical) from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore in 1976. Mr Arif Alauddin has also done MBA major in Finance from the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad in 1980. He completed his Master Degree program in Energy Planning from Massachusets Institute of Technology Cambridge, USA in 1983.

Mr. Arif Alauddin has served in UNDP Pakistan as Chief Energy and Environment, as Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer of Enercon, National Project Director of Fuel Efficiency in the Road Transport Project of Enercon in addition to this Mr. Arif Alauddin has also served in The American University, The World Bank and various distinguished organizations.

He was selected to become CEO, AEDB in view of his distinguished Energy Sector career.

Mr. Arif Alauddin enjoys a reputation of unimpeachable integrity and is known to be a reform oriented team player.

He has represented Pakistan at various International forums in USA, UK, Canada, Spain, China, Germany, Denmark and India.
