Government
of Pakistan conducted a study on use of ethanol as fuel
in December, 2005 with HDIP. Clean Power (Pvt.) Ltd (CPL)
participated
in the study and performance comparative road tests of E5,
E10 and E20 with petrol. At the end of the study, PSO took
the initiative in July, 2006 to launch the pilot project
of ethanol filling station in Pakistan. The aim was to broaden
the ethanol consumption database and get know how of operational
mechanics for using it as fuel. |
Presently,
the vehicle fleet of Alternative Energy Development Board
(AEDB) is running on E10. There is a sound requirement of
continuous monitoring, data acquisition and data analysis
to form conclusion of the pilot project. For doing that,
the data base from vehicles’ log books has been
gathered
for consumption and fuel efficiency along with the user
experience has been recorded on specified performa and analysis
is performed on these feedbacks. |
