In the efforts to achieve greater energy security, GOP through AEDB and with the help of private sector and DFIs including IFC, CDC, FMO, ICD and various advisors has simultaneously signed Implementation Agreement and Guarantee Direct Agreement with eleven (11) wind IPPs making a cumulative capacity of 560MW. These projects would provide more than 1.8billion units of clean energy annually.
Six (06) out of eleven (11) wind projects are financed by the IFC whose signing of the Implementation Agreement and Guarantee Direct Agreement was witnessed by the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan on November 15, 2019.
